My emerson tv doesnt have a video input button. I have hooked up my x box to the correct plugind but i cant find the channel or input to go to.

You are going to need an RF adaptor. Check Radio Shack and tell them what you want to happen and they will be able to tell you what you need. Or you can also google "Madcatz RF adaptor". This will let you conenc the xbox by using the TV's antenna or cable input.
