Has anyone experienced (and hopefully solved) the following issue:

Setup:
-PS2 (hardware is about 4-5 years old). NOT the small form factor
-Sony PS2 component cables for HDTV
-Samsung HPS4253 Plasma HDTV

Config:
-PS2 set to 16:9
-Games set to widescreen
-TV set to 16:9

Issue:
Games look/sound great, but there are 1-1.5" black borders on each side of the screen. I've had bad experiences with black side borders and screen burn-in in the past, and would like to be able to play a game for more than 1-2 hours without having to worry about that same issue.

If both the game, the system, and the tv are all set to 16:9 widescreen, shouldn't those borders disappear.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
