Ive got a freeview, Dvd and Dreamcast plugged into a scart adapter but the picture is really flickery when i play the dreamcast and dvd. When i plug each thing in seperatly using the scart lead it works fine. Is it my tv coz its 50hz and a bit old or is it th scart adapter? |

You cannot play multiple media in one input without having problems or unless you have a switch that totally isolates the other equipment. It is not the TV it is the amount of units you have plugged in all at once. |

uhh. wreckless isnt supposed to be in these threads is he? lol yo. i got a question. When you are gonna make a trunk box, and you have the slanted back and stuff. you go to www.the12volt.com. and go to the wedge box, enter in the specs to get the desired box volume, and then you go over to subwoofertools and enter in the box volume and specs and stuff. but that will only give you the length and heights etc of a square shaped box... so how you know the lengths of a wedge shaped box, if ya know im good with makin square boxes and sh!t, just not wedge stuff and round |

got this from Scott....just kinda stuck with me....
quote:Q works well in both ported and sealed, although for straight SQ applications sealed really is the only option. The group delay and natural response of sealed simply eclipse that of ported enclosures. Not to mention sealed matches up much better to the cars natural transfer function making things relatively flat far beyond what ported can do(with normal ported tunings).

dam guys. answer my question! lol is that how you would do it? go to the wedge design on the12volt.com, then enter in desied volume, take those nuumbers, and then go over to subtools.com?? but subwoofer tools would only give you a square design for the box specs you just found on the12volt... so how do you know how long everything needs to be and stuff? |

you can't bassman. the subtools is only for square boxes. you would need some other program for that. i just go by marshall white's rule. 10-12sq in of port per cube. |

in all honesty....you will NEEEEEEEEEVER EEEEEEVER make a ported box that has the control of a sealed one....b/c when you tune low....depending on how much port area you have, you lose control of the sub at lower freq....and if oyu don't have enough port area, it sounds like crap...also...they take up more space....and the lower you tune, the more control you lose at higher freq. Sealed boxes arent that far behind a ported enclosure imo. if you give the sub ample air space and brace it well, can be better than a half-a** ported box. besides....i am out of the "loudness" stage, i listen to rap maybe once every 2 weeks now. lol and BAss MEkanik like once a week...and i am good on my bass fix. oh well....me and my sissy SQ willbe able to hear in another 30yrs. j/k |
