I normally use componet cables to connect from my ps2 directly to my tv, the picture is great and I love it. I just bought a dvd-recorder, and want to record myself playing. So I hooked the ps2 componet cables to the input on the dvd-recorder, then a set from the output of the recorder to the TV. Now when I switch to progressive mode on socom my screen splits down the center. I even tryed turning on pscan on the dvd recorder and it dident do anything. Would a reciever possiably help this? any ideas?

Try the homee theatre section, those guys are pretty smart when it comes to this stuff
