HI I bought a gamecube for my teeange son for Xmas. He lives with his Father during the week and has informed me today that his TV doesn't have an AV channel. I am sure all TV's receive audio visual signal unless I am going mad. I have asked him what tv he has as it will just be a portable, however I do know that I bought him a scart adapter as he ddn't have the sockets for the yellow white and red cables. He has connected the scart adapter to his tv but is saying he can't use it as his tv doesn't have an av channel. Is it just a case of panning through all the channels to fnd it or is there something specific he needs to do? Any help much appreciated...if only it was a computer I would have no troubles but games and tv's not my thing Cheers Jo |

tell me what you guys think about this idea i have for my car. take out my backseat and customize the area to hold a nice box for the 2 12w7s i will be getting. the box will be cover with black vinyl instead of carpet to match my leather interior. in the trunk i will creat a false floor to hold my 2 jl 1000/1 and 1 jl 450/4. making a false floor will cover up all the wiring to give it a clean look. btw i will be ordering 260amp alternator from iraggi alternators. i think with everything installed the way i want it, i have a chance to hit in the high 140s maybe even 150. lol |

it sounds good chaucey but i want to use my amps. even though i might not be able to hit 150 with the w7s, it will still sound awesome and much better than the type xs. my mind is solid as a rock on this w7 matter. taking out the backseat is questionable right now but the alt and the subs are definate. |

don't you just love a nice drive alone with good music coming from your system? sometimes on sundays, i take a drive for an hour or two just listening to my tunes. i drive by the beach or there is this one winding road that goes up a small mountain near my house. when my gf is in the car i cant blast it. i feel like telling her sometimes to shut it cause i want to hear the music. lol. kinda like that volkswagon gti commercial where he tells his girls friend "honey its hard for me to hear the sound of my engine with all that yaking!" lol |

These Refs play every freq put , but imo not that good in lower bass freq - but i think thats 2 be expected cause after all thats what comps r designed 2 do & subs do d bass . I would say all 4 of them support my bass very good even when i tried out that big PA amp on them - but trust me 1 pair alone would get drowned out easily by bass in high volume . how i set both pairs on my HU is that my FR pair is on full but i faded back pair slightly @ @ 17/25 so u still get front stage & rear fill ... U Planning out ur new setup ??? .... |

Ineed to get more money again. i had money but i bought a 96 mustang and it took most of my cash but i want to get a SUV still so i can put a good system in there. I can have the money in like a month but im also busy with work so thats on hold. Maybe one jl13w7 and jl 100/1 amp. i want to try out the havoc or the arsenal too though. So many decisions......lol now i know why chad is always changing systems lol |

lol you would be underpowering the 13w7 with the 100/1. i know what u mean. i am just giving you a hard time. finally someone that understands what i am going through. i have a bad habbit of getting sick of things fast. its something i need to fix but its kinda hard. since i am an only child i was kinda spoiled by my parents as a kid. oh and i have 2 wait for someone so i am stuck at work for another 20 minutes. |

well u could still buy ur sub/s & stick it in ur stang temp If i had cause 2 buy any subs right @ this moment it would be ID max 12" 13w7 15" Havocs - $325 each , u CAN'T go wrong dammit ! & maybe those 12" SI Mags that alteaudio is always boasting about & last night CB mentioned Cyrstal comp above in this thread but those 1st 3 would be my personal no1 choices 4 SQL ...... |

i also have decided to get an audiocontrol crossover. i know the hu and the amps have nice built in crossover but i think separate crossover would give me more control over the sound i want coming from each of my speakers. i would by pass all crossover settings on hu and the amp of course after installing the audiocontrol crossover. |

sorry for the bad song recomendation rovin. lol. berny.....that was just hilarious. nemen.....there is this little mall in china town near my work where i go to show some samples of our clothes. well, when i go in that mall's parking structure and i bump a song by lil jon called "knock heads off", well it gets crazy in there. i must set off like 4 car alarms at once from one spot. i did that like three times and all three times i saw a few people running into the parking structure thinking something was wrong. i don't do it anymore cause i feel bad. i go to that mall at least once every two weeks. |

charlie the reason why i can get new subs in a couple of weeks is cause me and 10 other people do a special savings. every week we give 200 dollars to one person in the group. i am the 7th person to receive the money which is in 2 weeks. so in two weeks i would receive 2000 dollars and that is what i am gonna use to buy the stuff i want. its a good way to save money. of course you have to do it with people you can trust. |

well thomas, first of all welcome to our little section. don't let others know cause then it would get crazy in here. what we do is everyone gives $200 a week for 11 weeks to my friend. then my friend gives that money to whoever turn it is that week to receive the money. i am number 7 so i get it on the seventh week. it has been 5 weeks already so i get it in 2 weeks. if someone got his or her money already and is not able to keep on paying the $200 a week for the remaining weeks then my friend, who started this, is responsible for getting the rest of our money back that was put into the savings. i hope you understand what i am saying here. kinda hard to go into detail about this cause its way too much typing. lol |

never even seen a ED sub in my country & it looks like i'm not alone cause u never c any1 on d forum saying zilch about them . U could prolly ask that Alteraudio 2 give u some prices on comps if JL r too much $ 4 u ... U know what i think u really might want charlie - 2 12 IDmax subs its 2000wrms vs 800wrms of those 12w6 & costs same price . Only thing is u will spend more $ on amp/s - but hey car audio ain't cheap . I was kinda thinking about that ^ setup 4 myself too OR 2 15" Arsenals only $325 each but amps 2 push would be some $ & a HO will def be needed ..... |

I was thinking if I go DD I would get 1 or 2 of these http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=3500d sell the amp i got right know maybe buy a 2000 watt one 2500 hifonice one somethinglike that they look really nice and I dont know anyone with dd but 1 would probably be enough and I could just get a 1000 watt amp not sure |

eventually i will be paying $2000 in the end. its just i would be receiving the $2000 in 7 weeks. after i receive my money i still need to pay $200 a week until 11 weeks finish. i am not making extra money. its just hard to save sometimes so this way you are forced to. there are other ways of doing this but it gets too complicating and i don't feel like writing a novel on this forum. btw marshall white gave me a link to a competition that is happening near my house in two weeks. i finally get to hear what 150db is going to sound like.

Wow!!! 150 db - that is one loud noise. I don't think you even want to hear anything that loud. The jet engines that we deal with are in the 140-145 and that is at about 100 feet. Permanent hearing damage happens at 180. Yikes!!! |

yeah i read everything. you guys typed a lot tonight. lol. thomas if you hang out here you will be a gold member in days. lol. rovin......i didn't know you thought of 13w7s as awesome subs. berny......i like the list of stuff you want for your car. its going to be nice in your car. alpine hu is good but why the other stuff? the subs are nice but i am not a big fan of alpine speakers and amps. i drove home listening to my motley crue cd. it is the best of motley crue cd i bought a few months ago. i find that original cds sound better than downloaded music. still i download alot cause there is no way i am going to spend that much money. |

i don't mind spending $ on Cds but as u know i'm VERY picky on what i allow in my ears & def NOT going 2 buy a whole Cd 4 1 good song - long live piracy ...lol In my car 2day i played Kenny Chesney - anything but mine , Swithcfoot - dare u 2 move , that song by Alaine above & that 'shake it like a salt shaker' whatever u call it hiphop song . Yeh hiphop song i know - that song shakes every single interior part of ride & my internal organs as well -lol ..... |

Chad, The reason I want the Alpine is more of a matter of convenience than anything else. Seamless integration and all that stuff. What else should I consider? I just want a whole system, plus I won't be there for the install so I don't want any of them guys fiddling around in my vehicle wanting to install all kinds of crap I probably don't need. I only do the mix and match stuff on home audio but not on car audio, because once it is in there I won't be able to move things around like I can on home audio gear. Also great for resale value. |

charlie get the w6. just save up a little longer. the people that already tried the arsenals don't like it that much. there is this guy name mike johnson on this forum. i sold him my re se xxx. he likes that sub alot. he then bought the arsenal and found out that the re se xxx outperformed it so he is selling it. berny......you have a good point. if you are not going to be there then i guess your way is better. btw i love my klipch speakers and klipch sub for my home theater setup. my denon 3805 is one of the best receivers i've heard in that price range. i paid $1100 for it a year ago. |
