Ok... i have a computer up stairs and downstairs. And the one down stairs is hooked up to the one upstairs by a router. How could i hook up the xbox live to the one downstairs?

What? just connect the xbox to the router!
that's how i got it well i didn't have a router, so i connected it directly to the modem, my friend uses a router and it works!
