Hi,
Can someone please help me with following prolem. Thanks

I can not download windows updates and also can not run msn messenger. While open the hotmail I can not delete forward open or reply }}my message in inbox. When I start my computer I get following message.
Can not check window updates also I get following message.


"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Liberary
Runtime Error
ProgramC:/....
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application support team for more information."

Kindly help me and suggest what should I do.

I'm guessing that's a registry issue. I'd probably just wipe my hard drive and reinstall a fresh copy of windows.

What's stopping you from downloading the updates? Did you try a manual download instead of the automatic update feature? I'd try updated starting back from SP1 and then going to 2 and 3. It sounds like a lot of things are conflicting or corrupt. You're welcome by the way.

Even manual updates are not done the window for updates appear and then disappear at the same time. I am not familiar with SP1. Is is possible to explain please. I know somthing is definitely wrong or corrupted. I appreciate your help. Regards.

How are you attempting to download these updates? It's important to try to diagnose the problem. This is also not the easiest thing to solve without the computer in front of me haha.
