I upgraded my dvd rw with one out of my other computer because I knew it worked. Now that's in my other computer the dvd rw won't recognize. It's not in bios or device manager or anything. is there any other way to get the computer to recognize it. I swapped out the cable it didn't make a difference. is it possible the port on the motherboard is bad. but if that was the case why does everything else work.

Have you installed the proper drivers for the dvd-rw in the new computer?
