Hello, I am currently in the process of building my own computer and am having some trouble chosing a hard drive. The system will have the intel quad core processor (Q9450) and an asus P5N-T Deluxe board.

The system will be hooked up in raid 1 format, this is where the trouble lies. Right now I'm looking at 3 fairly identical hard drives, here's the link for each below.

Western Digital: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=31792 50&CatId=2458

Seagate: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=22685 95&CatId=2458

Hitachi:

Any help you could provide on these hardrives would be greatly appreciated... price really isn't a huge issue since they're all about the same price range.

I'm using 5 of the WDC drives you listed right now, and have been for 3 years now.
first with two in RAID 0, and now with 5 in RAID 5.
they are terrific drives.

I'd recommend them.
