My computer is a Compaq EVO/ 2.4ghz Pentium 4. I have a total of 4 usb ports on the back of my motherboard, 2 of which are Hi-speed. My computer Identifies the non hi-speed ports, but will not recognize the Hi-speed ports. I read something about on startup or in the BIOS control you can enable the Hi-speed ports, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help please??? |

should be under advanced chipset options, under integrated peripherals or some such. find the USB ports, and make sure they are set to 1.1 and 2.0 mode. not just 1.1 |

My BIOS didn't say anything about USB anywhere. I decided to try loading the default setup. That did the trick. I looked for this solution for a long time. I hope this helps someone. |
