my mpc goes through phases, sometimes it will turn on for like a month with no problems, then all of a sudden for no reason it wont turn on. this normally keeps going on but most the time it turns on eventually, however, this time its not powering on. Does anybody know the problem??

Power supply.
ALSO:
Dust is the #1 killer of computer parts, it holds heat in which means that the parts can't cool properly. if you have dust in your 'puter, it will loose parts faster.
