I just hooked up with high speed on my AMD, I'm running XP pro. The change from dial up is great, but. I have to wait forever for msn messenger to connect and most times it won't show my online contacts { number of } or the # of email at the top. There are other times when it will freeze up if asked to do more than one function. Any answers? Thanks

Sounds like you don't have enough RAM. XP Pro operates decently at 512 and great at a gig+. If you only have 256 (which is my guess) that is your problem right there.
