Hello All,

I bought an PROVIEW 22' LCD for a decent price. However, the screen does have ghost like quality (pictures are blurry and fonts not clear). I'm wondering if this is just me or is that a common problem with Proview monitors? Also, If someone knows a remedy to overcome it , pls let me know.

It is almost certain that you do not have your graphics adapter set for the native resolution of your display panel, which I imagine is 1680x1050. This is not a standard resolution and some graphics adapters (e.g. Intel) do not provide this as default.

You can fix this by editing the registry, but finding the right key is not trivial. I have found a utility which can do this fairly easily, if you're not afraid of doing a littly hexadecimal juggling. It's for Intel hardware, but might work for others as well. It's on my site here:

I've included a "howto", which is partly original and partly plagiarized. You're welcome to try it. Worked for me. My picture is perfect.
