I have a Serial ATA/133 Controller, its installed and drivers are as well. When i hook my h/d up to it though, when i start up my comp it shows pci listings, normally it would wait like 5 secs tops and then carry on to normal windows startup, with the h/d hooked up it stops at pci listings, dunno why it wont go on. It is set to slave, formatted nothing on it at all. but cannot be recognized. The h/d is ata/100, but the guy at the store told me the 133 card would still work for 100 drives. Any assistance would be appreciated greatly. Thank you in advance. |

Check your bios settings. Booting order etc. Thats how you see if your hard drive is being found. If it shows up not listed it might be a setting in bios, bad drive, not hooking it up right, Jumper setting wrong, cable position wrong (with cable select set in jumpers).Check all these and then let me know what happens. |
