im going to be getting a emachines t5230 which says it has a 16x dual-layer DVD burner, will this burn dvds for me threw meida player, and if so, what dvd cds will i need? dvd-r or dvd+r |

Generally it should come with some dedicated software to burn DVDs like Sonic, Roxio, Nero, etc. Windows and Media Player have some burning capabilities mind you, but nowhere near the capabilities of the above mentioned software. As far as what type of DVDs you need, it looks like you ought to be able to use any of the above. |

Stephen is right. Any DVD format will be ok, and DO NOT use Windows Media Player for a burning platform. Use Nero or whatever comes dedicated for you system. For burning DVD movies use DVD Shrink with Any DVD. Or Clone DVD with Any DVD. |
