hey, i'm so frustrated and angry becuz i cannot burn a video file and make it play on my dvd player i can only play it on my computer. I have .avi files, and a north american hitachi dvd player. I live in Canada. what kind of files does the dvd player actually play .avi or a different kind. Can someone please tell me how to do this and what kind of programs to use. Thank you so so much. |

I haver a top of the line Technics DVD A10 35pound, serious machine that only plays commercially produced dvds and nothing I burn will play. I also have a Sony DVP NS90v HDMI -up, and it will not play anything I burn, no matter what format I use. P. |

What you need is a program like Roxio (http://www.roxio.com/). I have found that Roxio is the best for converting .avi to DVD format. It is also a great video editor. |
