Hi I was wondering if any one knows what is involved in connecting cable. I currently have foxtel (pay tv) via cable but i think i need to split the cable via some sort of junction setup as the foxtel box is in our family room and i need a conection in the computer room. Is it as easy as putting a T piece in the current line and running it to the computer.

The T piece is all you need to get the cable to the pc but you still need to contact the cable company to initiate cable service and they will usually send you a modem to use. Unless you are talking about watching tv on your pc then all you need is a pci card with a cable input.
