I would appreciate any help setting up a new computer on our home network. We have a Linksys wireless B 2.4 GHZ Broadband Router. Connected to a Comcast cable modem. I attached the Linksys wireless G 2.4 GHZ USB network adapter to the new desk-top PC and I have a message that reads "Local Area Connection, A network cable is unplugged." I am on the Internet now, from a wireless network connection from Linksys on my laptop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

You could call Linksys like I did and ask them if they can remotely set the correct settings. They integrated my laptop into my network for me. |

You can ignore that message or you can disable it via the Control Panel. All it does is give information for you that you are not connected via wire to the internet. Before connecting the USB network adapter you need to make sure that your Wireless Boradband router will accept a "G" series signal. If it is an older "B" series only router, it is not going to work. Verify this first before we proceed. |
