I have just purchased a new High Definition TV that has a coaxial audio output. I would like to putput the sound to a set of Logitech Z640 speakers. These have 6 speakers (2 front, 2 rear, 1 sub-woofer and 1 middle front), which are designed to accept output from a PC sound card. Does anyone know if there is a device (converter, cable, whatever) that will enable me to connect the speakers to my TV and to obtain true 5.1 surround sound? There does not appear to be any digital inputs on the sub-woofer, Any ideas will be appreciated.

Unfortunately not with Logitechs. The inputs on those are analog from a signal that has already been decoded.

You are going to need a receiver that accepts a digital signal.

You also have to take into consideration the type of audio signals that you are receiving from your TV stations or cable provider.
