Yesterday i started up my computer and got the following message "Windows cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupt: WINDOWS/SYSTEM/CONFIG/SYSTEM".

So i'm attempting to repair that file from my Windows cd. I choose the "repair existing Windows installation" option, but when i'm asked which installation i want to repair i don't know which command to enter. It only lets me enter one character. I assumed "1" because it had 1: C/WINDOWS (or something) listed as the only choice. But no.

Can anyone help?
