Someone please help I dont have a standby option when I click on Shut Down all i get is shut down and re-start with the stand by option in grey Ihave an MDG Media Centre Upgrade .... |

That article says it only applies to Windows 98/ME, he said he has media center edition. First thing I would do is make sure standby is enabled in your BIOS. |

I don't think you should be messing with your computer if you do not know what BIOS is. Take it to a professional. If your standby option is no loger operational, back track to a day when it was working. You may have installed a program that has conflict. |

I've had a similar problem before. i just googled "no standy option" and ii found step by step directions of what i had to do in my registry to restore the stand by option |

hi ihave the same problem i know whats bios and i know how to get there but how do i turn it on i tried lookoing for that optio on the bios screeen when i turn the pc on but i just don't see that option. any help |

If you can't find power managment options in your BIOS then try the following: Update BOIS to latest version Update motherboard drivers Update video card driver You can download those files from your PC manufacturer's website. |
