Have you tried resetting the wireless router?

Make sure the browser you're using is enabled to connect to the internet directly(hopefully it's IE, because that's what I'm going to give you instructions for). Go to the 'connections' in IE and delete any connections in the box, then go to "LAN settings" and uncheck any boxes.

Wifi is a type of direct connection.

Best way to troubleshoot is this: install firefox-another web browser- (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/) and see if that lets you browse the web. If it doesn't, then you have a problem with your adaptor, if it does then IE is to blame.
