Can someone please help? I recently bought a PC and there is no sound. I have checked all levels and checked to see is anything on mute. I have also tried different speakers but this has not worked either.

Have you looked in Device Manager for any yellow Exlamation marks? Since you just bought it its got a warranty right? Let them figure it out rather than risk voiding the warranty by fooling around. Have you tested the speakers in something else?

1) control panel -->sounds --> look up what is listed under playback and what listed under recording

2) control panel-->system-->device manager: search for sound cards, multimedia controllers and yellow exclamation marks.

3) Do you have installation CDs for this computer? Look for one that says audio driver or motherboard drivers
