I have a problem with my compaq presario 2100 xp. I tried everything and nothing works. The compaq keeps restarting and when i go to safe mode and it restarts. I even reboot, last known configuation and doesn't work. After all of that it restart after it load the configuation

Is a blue screen flashing right before it reboots? If so.... try going into the bios and resetting all to default and make sure that the hard drive is set to boot... after that and it still doesn't work then try to enter the bios and stay in it look around for 15 min.. See if you get a reboot... if it does its most likely heat if not then it can be a Varity of things from memory to a virus to... many things…. So just try those things and let us know how it goes.

Try this:

1)Open it up and clean out the fan(s).
