Spousal unit is a voiceover artist and we've set up the beginnings of her home "studio." Logitech USB mic, iMac G5 with Tiger (Mac OS 10.4) and GarageBand. Here's the question: Does she NEED M-Audio or a similar item to provide her vocal submissions with a studio "feel"? I am an audio newbie so any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

The microphone is going to be the biggest factor in determining the sound quality rather than the sofware in my opinion. GarageBand isn't all that great either. If "Spousal Unit" could get Sonar or some other music composition software, that would be much better.
