i recently got an OLD labtop computer with onlyl a serial port no usb no network interface card aviable so it has an internal 56k modem but we have high speed internet runnnign through rj-45 cables and not rj-11 i was wondering if ther ewas some type of converter that would allow me to run a connection either through a serial port on back (have the long and the small one) or even runnign high speed through the 56K modem speed is not really of the essence b/c i have my main computer with an Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego and a Raptor 75 Gb HD for gaming and downloading just would like to be able to connect to aim or somthing while playing a game FYI it is an OLD IMB running MS-DOS 3.11
I am NOT new to computer at all as i have built my computer and many computers for my friends but as in the case of mine their high end water cooled systems with gigabyte LAN Ports ans such so i am kinda new to 56k Modem
