i have an older kenwood shelf system hooked up to my computer and was wondering if it will hurt the tower if i put the speaker inches away. (the speaker is a little smaller then the tower and i was wonder if the magnet will affect anything in the tower) any advice would be great thanx for your help. |

It will, definitely. Older speakers aren't shielded well and you risk erasing the hard drive by having the magnetic field too close. |
