Hello i just bought a HP pavilon a1224n computer. what kind of graphics card will fit, pci, apg, or a pci-e. and is the geforce fx5200 any good, for the price? Thank You

Well how am I supposed to know that. I don't know what motherboard you have. Check your motherboard manual-it will tell you in there.

Ahh, maybe you can look about google for tutorials about computer components and how they work!
I found that about your computer.

If you look under expansion slots, theres only pci slots, no agp or pci express.
You mentioned the fx 5200. I know a lot of people who have this card and for the price its ok. What do you want the card for specifically?

Since your computer is new and pci is your only option an fx5700 is the best card to get. The FX is dated now but it's a bit better than the 5500 and 5200. For games, you can overclock it too if you wanted without too much worry.
