I have for the longest time wanted to get myself a computer. My friend has suggested building my own because of the advantages of knowing whats in it but
I would have no Idea where to start. Any suggestions,help or comments?

ok well if its ur first rig i suggst getting a new MSI or Gigabyte Mainboard..socket 939 with 1GB/s Lan and get a AMD Athlon64 3000+, and as graphics go get a Nvidia 6600 AGP 8x, for Ram get some Cheap Mushkin Ram at 3-3-3 Latency..and those are the main parts u need..any cd/dvd drives are good...and the case...
