Alright, so i have a 17" TFT LCD monitor made by Starlogic, model M17GKA, and it has only has a vga output, besides power and built in speakers. i borrowed a VGA to RCA, http://www.cableclub.com/product_info.php?products_id=460, adapter for my friends video card to see if i would be able to use it so i could use my monitor as a tv, But it didn't work and from what i have found, i would have to buy some sort of tv tuner like this, http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=12093 27&Sku=G126-1044&SRCCODE=WEBGOOAUT&CMP=KNC-GOOGL, in order to use my monitor as a tv. Is there a cheaper solution to this problem that anyone knows of? thanks
