I'm buying a new HD tomorrow, my system is a P4, motherboard MSI ms-7058 915P... i have been using a Western Digital WD Caviar 160 GB, Serial Ata HD, but i want a new one now, and use the old as a back up.

I'd like to buy a similar to that one, but since i am going to spend now, maybe there is something better? I am also not an expert (i just plug the things with lots of courage :-) )...

In my mobo there are 4 places to plug S-ATA, i've been reading there is S-ATA 2 Harddisks, would one of those be compatible with my system, and will be a big difference in performance??

so, any suggestions are welcome, anything i should know beforehand?

I would defiantly get another SATA drive (SATA 150 if you can). Never buy budget dives unless you enjoy losing your data. I suggest another western digital or a Maxtor drive. As for capacity that is up 2 you.
