This is a simple idea but does show you one way to make your pc dust free inside and allow cooler air into your case. I also figured it might spark other creative variations for some of you.

if the case mod is for cooling purpose then i have my own mod !

its a gauze piece (medical gauze dressing) taped onto the fan that throws cool air on my prescott.

the one in the front sucks in cool air (gauze on a frame in front of it).

the one below the gauze (aligned with my GPU) and one on the back panel throw warm air out.

i vacuum this filter (gauze piece) once a week or repace it whenever required.
prescott overheats. old habits die hard !

this is my cheap alteranative to expensive cooling solutions.

am plannning to replace the panel with acrylic sheet n using a larger fan with lesser RPM (less noise) with neon lighting in it. but i mite colour the neon with a little darker shade (just enough for a blue hue), i dont like it bright and flashy!

The gauze would work, but wouldn't that limit air-flow as well by quite a large amount as opposed to other materials?

The air filter was interesting, but too bulky/ugly for my preferences (if you want your computer dust free for show-off purposes, that air filter would contrast poorly), though nice idea.

nope !!
the gauze is pretty good and does not limit the airflow, unless ofcourse u dont vacuum it once a week or in 10ten !

Thermaltake makes case fants that have a cover with a cleanable filter that does the same thing and is more pleasing to the eye.
