i have a hp pavilion 7920 i up-graded to windows2000 . the modem wont work now, i can run hardeware detect and it says no modem found, ican go in add new devices, select my modem and install it but when i do a diagnostcs it cant detect the com port. any one ever had this happen to them when they upgraded? thanks

Have you checked online for new drivers? The modem might not have a driver that supports windows2000.
