Hi,

I just bought a new mini dv sony hc30 digital camcorder to replace my ageing sony 8mm video camera. I was hoping to see a marked difference between the quality of the two camaras. However after having shot same scenes in auto modes from the two cameras and playing both on a regular sony analog tv (10 years old) I really cant see much improvement.

Do i need to buy a new digital tv (100 hz etc.) to feel the difference in quality??
