I am transferring recorded DV footage from Sony TRV22 to computer for editing in DV_AVI format for transfer back to camcorder, then to VHS tape on VCR.
Edited recording, when back in camcorder is 'choppy' with distorted sound & picture jumping.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong PLEASE?

It could be the type of transfer set up you're using. If you're transferring still images, then USB is OK. If you're transferring movies, then you should be using firewire.
