I have an 8mm JVC video camera and I want to be able to put the video from the tapes to the computer. What hardware do I need to do that? It has the input cables that you can plug into a TV and view the tapes through the TV... Can I do it to my computer? Thanks |

You need an analog to digital converter. You can probably buy one at just about any electronics store, or computer store. You will plug your a/v cables from you camcorder to this device, and then plug the device into you computer via firewire/ or usb. |

Got any in mind that I could go look at? Like a name, such as if I were looking for a video card, you'd recommend the ATI 9800 Pro. Thanks |

I have a JVC GR-DV1 with the RCA connection (no firewire). If I use an analog to digital converter, but my computer doesn't have a 'firewire' connection, will the converter be able to plug directly into a USB 2.0, and will that transfer the quality OK ? |
