ok kool

we have a DC dealer here in my country since about mid last yr & he is about 5mins away from me

last yr i did a L3 12" for some1 - sounded decent but it was not too hot on lows & output say compared to a type R .. was decent though nothing to brag about especially since its cost 50% more than a R

my friend had 2 audiopipe TXX 15s he used to compete with in spl & he replaced them with 2 15 L4 which did exactly d same score even (maybe 0.1 more or less) with different tuning\boxes but it cost more than double with almost same results - power is 2) 1500 sundown amps strapped

so with those 2 examples im not really that impressed with d brand , maybe i need to see\hear some more proving themselves but i just wasnt blown away d way ppl hype it up ...hope u get some good results in ur endeavors ...

Ill have to listen to my bro's lv4 's and see if it is weak in the lows. I know his lvl4 xl's seemed weak on the lows but one was damaged then. Bottom line ill take it slow. Thanks for your input.

Yeah the subs are over built thats one thing i can say but having to put that much power to them isnt good....3x or more i mean....one audioque hdc 12 with 2 k would probably beat the lvl 4 10's

I bet it will make a very nice home theater subwoofer. I would have went sealed with a low fs sub like that though. Picking up those ultra low notes in some of those movies would be sweet.

he said he is going to do a dark wood grain vinyl on it so i had to sand all d edges extra smooth

just now i was playing around with d idmax in my wagon & on some ultra low notes songs like white girl i lowered d 50hz band on my deck & it sounds even more ultra smooth low , u wont really hear much standing out side but when u r in d front seat its a killer , i was feeling d hair on head moving ...

with a sealed box there is far less chance of ur bass having 'peaks & dips' ...u get a very smooth overall performance out of it

even today i was demoing it to a guy who came for me to build him a 12" RF P3 & he was asking me whats its tune to without seeing it & when i said its sealed he couldnt believe me till i showed him d box

i saw ID rec 1.3 for it but i guy i knew who is really heavily into SQ & had 1 told me do 1.5 so i didnt run any specs & took his word for it & im happy

if u port it it cud cover ur front stage so i went sealed

dont know where so u will really have to search online 4 that prefab ...

Hope you all are doing well.(I truly do) I have come to a "moment of truth", I have to get my life back on track. My engineering degree is of the greatest importance at the moment.

Hey guys,

I typed my last post last night completely gone and didn’t mean for it to seem so dramatic. Several things happened last night to make me see things in a different light. I have temporarily moved out of my apartment and am living with my uncle for a bit. My roomies don’t party any more than the average college kid but I just don’t want to be around it at all for a while. It sucks that instead of a 3 minute walk to campus it’s going to be a 45 minute drive but it’s for the best I think. My uncle only has dial up (this post is like an hour in the making, dial up ftl) and all the computer labs on campus won’t load the E for some friggin’ reason. That’s what I meant when I said I might be gone for a bit, just fyi. I quit my 3rd shift job because that was not helping either situation at all. I WILL be back soon, I love E, kinda like my online home.

All my best,

Wicked’

P.S.

email is - the wicked bass @ gmail dot com

The computer labs on campus will load gmail thankfully.

Well guys, I got bad news. Everyday its looking like I'm going to need to sell all of my stuff before I get the chance to use it. I could use the money right now and I don't see myself getting it all installed anytime soon so why not sell it. Keep it on the DL for right now since it's still up in the air but if any of you guys are interested in any of it, let me know and I'll cut you a special deal on it.

Btw, sorry I've been absent from E lately. Working 30-40 hours a week and going to school full time blows :-(

Hope you all are doing well.

Almost got screwed today on one of my inflatable bounce house rentals today.

Been in contact via email over the past two weeks with a man needing two bounce houses for his son's B-day party today. Pending rain we were all set. I even knocked off $25 because he rented two of them and he was literally 2 minutes from me. Sweet.

Arrive today and set them both up at 11:30am. His wife was the only one home and didn't know about the bounce houses. She was excited for her son. Her husband wasn't home at the time. No problem. I go over the safety issues with her and she signs the liability waiver and I'm off until 5pm when I come back to take them down and get paid.

Sooooo I come back after the party, take both houses down and gather my things. Time to get $$. The wife looks at me stunned. Turns out she and her (ex) split up months ago and he never even showed up for his son's b-day party. He rented the bounce houses for his son's party but didn't tell his ex they were coming or give her any $$ to pay for them. Naturally she doesn't have a dime on her and asks if I'll take a CC. Paul gets nervous now. She's a hotty too and her cleavage is making it impossible to keep this predicament strictly business.

So she's fighting with him on her cell telling him that he needs to come and pay me since he was the one who set it up, not her. Deadbeat didn't even show up for the party and she tells me his son didn't even ask about him.

She hangs up on him and calls him back about 4 times before he finally agrees to come over. Naturally she says he's pissed and been drinking. Oh, and he's a state cop BTW and is coming over with a few of his friends. I guess 15 years ago I would have taken the loss, wished her luck and high tailed it out of there before the azz kicking crew got there. Something told me to hang my ground. Ppl will develop outlandish stories like this to scam ppl and I needed/deserved to get paid so I waited. Not 5 minutes goes by and sure enough he shows up with his friends and quickly pays me after apologizing for the delay. He didn't say two words to his ex or even walk in to wish his son a happy b-day before he sped off. Alls well that ends well right? At least the boy had a good party. Should have got her # though.

WTF is up with some ppl?

Hey thanks for reading lol.

I charge $65 for the bounce house and an extra $5 if they want the balls. Most do. So for $70 it's a great addition to any child's b-day party. I rented them two so normally it would have been $140 with the balls. Mind you pro party stores charge 2-3 times that. AND they don't include setup and delivery most times. It's no wonder ppl jump on my offer.

They are a hell of an investment. Get your $$ back in like 3-4 rentals and the rest is all yours. Just gotta deal with crap like all that though from time to time^^^.

Same with my tent rentals. It costs me about $200 to buy all the parts to build a 10 X 20 tent. I even rented a 20 X 20 a few times. Next year I'm raising my rental price to $50/day for each tent. Possibly higher because of the demand. Now think about this. I had over 40 tent rentals this past summer and I didn't get started until July. In three months I made over $2500 on the two tents I had. I bought one more recently for next year because I was tired of turning ppl down each weekend because all mine were rented. This coming year I'm starting in late April for the tents, through the winter for the bounce houses because they can be used indoors. The tents take about 30 minutes to set up and less time to take down. Bounce houses in like 5 lol. That's not chump change on the side.

Add that to the moon bounce rentals and it's very nice/honest money. As long as you're semi mechanically inclined and don't mind dealing with a few weirdos/morons from time to time you just can't go wrong. I have my stories lol.

You also have to be smart. You NEED a liability waiver and they MUST sign it EVERY time. If you don't have insurance and a kid breaks a bone on the moon bounce or a tent blows into a window you'll be in trouble.

They are very interesting ideas Paul. Working where I work for weddings, I've come to figure out that not a whole lot of wedding venues have a standard dance floor and actually rent a dance floor from various places. They charge like $600+ per wedding! They cost about $1500-$2000 to buy one new so my buddy and I are gonna buy one together probably and charge my work and other wedding venues $400ish per wedding which includes install of the floor and removal next day. We have our money back and then some after 5 uses which could be 2-3 weekends of work. I dunno if you'd be interested in that but its an idea that I got from my boss at work who did it for a little bit and made a couple grand over the summer with it. Just gotta find the people to use it, you know? Luckily I have access to about every wedding venue in Northern VA lol. Just an idea I wanted to throw your way.

Sounds like that will work for ya Yanks. Me? I love weddings and don't think I'd ever get tired of being around them but the dance floor gig wouldn't fly for me I don't think. I have no storage left in my home or shed. I wouldn't know where to keep the pieces. All my tents and bounce houses fit in the back of my truck, which is nice.

I tell everyone that the bounce house gig is the easiest $$. Sets up in 5-10 minutes, totes in a bag you can fit in a trunk, you're deemed the hero by every child you make eye contact with and you get to meet every milf inside of 8 zip codes of you. $70 for 20 minutes of work on top of all that? How can you go wrong lol????

Wow. Long time no post?

Anyway, just to keep things moving along..........

Since the tent and moon bounce rentals are going to drop off the face of the planet for the next 5 months I'm thinking of something different for extra $$ around the holidays. Yanks listen up lol.

I'm going to offer a Christmas tree delivery service. Every tree delivered gets a box of candy canes or gift bag for the kids. I'm thinking $15 over the cost of the tree for delivery. Candy canes/gift bags will cost $1 or so. I'm thinking there are many ppl out there who can't/don't want to trek out and get their own. To your door for $15 with candy canes? Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

I thought about playing Santa but I don't have a suit.

Just for kicks I guess......

$15 to deliver a tree? Sh1t. I know my dad and I would sign up for that ASAP lol. We always go out to the tree farm and search for hours but then when we find the special one, it sucks to haul back to the truck and load it up and take it home lol.

Deliver in VA? Lmao.

On another note, I get my blood tests back tomorrow and finally figure out what has been kicking my azz over the past 2 weeks. I've lost 10-15lbs in 2 weeks :-( Keep your fingers crossed for me fellas.

You know I've been keeping an eye on that area for years and never paid attention on how to do what they're doing? I've had sat for going on 6 years now and been paying out the nose for it. How hard is it and what equipment is needed?
