^^^Been there done that. Shamefully mine is a glorified blu-ray player that......also plays games lol. I don't use it and neither does my son, at all. I downloaded a ton of demos and played GT a bit but the novelty wore off fast. Funny how the most expensive console in my son's arsenal is the least used.

i have a group of online friends that play that game religiously, and i HATE it. which makes ABSOLUTELY no sense...because i am still in love with all the Gran Turismo's. grew up playing them. we would spend weekends at my next-door neighbor's house earning the licenses, but i played forza and i cannot get into it. go figure.
i wont play mine anymore than i play my xbox, but i have always wanted one and soon i will try to get one. |

What sux is that you can't get any cheat codes for the new game lol. I used game shark before and got all the $$ and cars you wanted for GT but now they make you earn it the HARD way. I mean, I paid for the simulator, why can't I drive the cars on the box, right out of the box so to speak?
That's why I've turned my back on PS3's version. They seem to gear it ONLY to the hardcore GT fanatics.

i earned the licenses, EVERY license, in EVERY GT. they don't rollover(which i dont get but w/e)
the trick to getting cash fast is to race a tourny that you win a car in and sell the car. then rinse and repeatL then eventually you race a bigger,faster tourny and win an even more valuable car. the formula works for every GT. and thats what im used to. lol  |

And simulators are the only games I play. Except first person shooters. I just can't get into them.
Muddy, I've tried racing that way getting the cash little by little. I reached $2 million and had enough to buy the formula one race car one PS3's GT. It won't let you buy it unless you have the last license. I love the game but don't possess the patience to win EVERY requirement for the last one. It took me weeks to build up that cash and when I went to click to buy the Formula one and was denied................I sat staring at the screen.........for like an hour.

Nice score Rovin. That mtx 81000d puts out 1000 at 12.5 but over 1500 at 14.4 and I should have no problem keeping the voltage high with my new alt. |

Muddy, you use the upload image or attachment button right next to the preview/post button. Image has to be 600 X 600 pixels or smaller and 100k or less. You might have to resize your image to do so.
Charlie, I'll check the site out lol. I've been spending less time here and on the net in general because of work and my son's baseball season which just started and also like Muddy said this place isn't the same.

hell yeah Sean!!!!! when i was shopping for a new tv. i wanted a 40"....then i said, "might as well go up 10" and i then wanted a 42" tv. well in the model i was wanting to buy they only made in in the 40 and 46". so i bought the 46" and when i got it home and put it on my tv stand i went  . the tv's always look bigger in your bedroom/livingroom than they do hanging on a wall in the store!
either way, congrats bro. now all you need is a 360 or ps3 to play some shooting/racing/sports games on that bish!!! blu-ray makes me drool everytime i watch one and i have had one for 4 months. |

Sean, I have never used a Pioneer HU. Weird I know. My Camaro had the premium bose audio package so I left it at that, and I went through various cheaper HUs in my other cars. I've loved car/home audio since 16 years of age. My current lifestyle though.......has put a hamper on enjoying it the way I used to.
Well, most of it. I don't stop playing the music that moves me though lol.
I'm telling you deep trance music in headphones in the dark is.........like a spiritual feeling. You get into it. You love it and want more of it.
I'm an ex club junkie. I was fed club/dance/trance/ music into me for a long time lol. |

just got into the headphone scene....here we go, yet another thing i can senselessly blow my money on. lmao
i have had a b0ner for sennheiser as of late....researched headphones a while back and that name popped across the Cnet website a few times. So i was shopping for some headphones in Best Buy and i was debating between the SkullCandy and Sony headphones when the Best Buy aksed me if i needed any help and i told him i was just looking.
He then said well if you are wondering about those 2 headphones we get the sony's returned alot and we almost never get the skullcandy's retunred. He says "they are about the best money can buy when it comes to headphones." i immediately went on the defensive as best buy guys dont usually know sh1t. lol but i didnt say anything.
so right when i was about to give up and go somewhere else, i saw them.....sitting there.....and the recognition of the name slowly came back to me. "Sennheiser" i said out loud...and i remembered seeing them on Cnet a couple of times and they always had positive things to say about them. the model number was HD205 and they were $49.99,so i took them and another pair that were model no. E150 which had no price up to the counter and wanted to find out how much they were. the E150's were like $34.99 and the latter wwere the $49.99 like i said. So Quality = $ in electronics kicked in and i bought the Fifty dollar ones.
i get them home and now it is time to test them. I have a pair of $20 Koss Circumaural(completely covers the ear like earmuffs) headphones that i have been using forEVER, on my 3rd pair. lol. initially i plugged up the Koss' to see how they sounded on a variety of tracks. compared to my ipod earbuds they have very nice bass ok mids and decent highs. then i plugged up the HD205's and played the same songs, sometimes switching between headphones every 15 seconds to hear the differences. i was COMPLETELY blown away at the sound differences....
The koss's has a powerful bass sound...but until i heard the 205's...i realized how much the bass drowned out the mids and highs. the 205's have a very punchy responsive yet natural sounding bass that sounds much tighter. also the mids and highs were much more clear and louder, but not harsh. lastly, the overall volume at any given number on the volume bar on my computer was louder on the 205's. also with the EQ on itunes set on Hip-Hop or Rock on the respective tracks, i could crank the volume all the way up and the 205's never distorted, not once....
however, the Koss headphones could not be turned up all the way with the EQ on, and with the EQ on, the bass even more-so drowned out the sound of thge mids and highs, and became sloppy and muddy sounding.
here's the other thing....the 205's are what is called Supra-Aural headphones in which means they rest on your ear instead of around it like ear muffs. But, they seal your ear because of how plush the earpads are, not ideal for long listening, but they work none the less. but not exactly what i was looking for, so the search continues.
so after reading and researching the internet far and wide...i found that there is another pair of Sennheiser's coveted headphones that i must have and they have very high regard in the audiophile community for their performance vs. price. they retail at $199.99 but i found them online for $79 shipped....most stores carry them for $99 shipped. i almost forgot, they are called the HD280pro. they are supposed to sound amazing for DVDs as well as with mp3s. more of an all around headphone. either way, i will have them in a few days and i can't wait to try them out as they are the more comfy circumaural type that i could wear for hours at a time watching movies and what not.
i have always had an interest in headphones as i like to watch movies in my room at very loud volumes. well, i cant do that when everybody else in the house is sleeping, so i wear headphones. the quality of headphones now more than ever is becoming more important to me because of that umcompressed audio i hear when watching blurays. The sound is insanely crisp and layered. very deep sounding. like when a car explodes and when gunfire is going off behind explosions, even music sounds more lively on bluray discs.
