man since i got high speed net last mth im not on d tv like how i used 2 b ....& since monday my isp gave a free upgrade from 2mb to 4mb so d\l songs (upgrading all my old 128 songs to 320) & spending time on utube too ...i need to get a dvi cable to run to my tv so i can watch it bigger ... |

Ill admit Paul its not cheap as im finding out. For quality anyway. Rovin My bro is still running his dc sounds level 4 12's not the xls but he took first at iasca finals with a 153.8. Steve miller claims the other guys 7000 watt amp was down so he was only using one 7000 watt amp to take second with a 153.4 but I dont believe it because all year the guy only hit 153 at shows. |

i have the 3-at-a-time unlimited plan.
runs exactly $19.16 after taxes/month
enables me to have 3 DVD's out at a time and access to over 12 thousand instant streaming movies. it's pretty badazz.
also for an extra $1 a month, i get access to Blu-Ray movies. so i have watched about 6 blu-rays and over 12 movies in 2 weeks(which is the FREE Trial period). i am definitely a movie person and feel that it is money well-spent. i could have bought all those Blu-rays and paid $180 for just them not counting the other movies i have watched. |

Yeah I consider myself a movie buff. Problem is when I started collecting it was 20 years ago. All VHS. Since that's a dead technology I'm stuck with 100's of paperweights. Double suck is buying them again on DVD. Triple suck is the next technology that will replace DVDs. I'm guessing a format that will fit on a credit card sized medium. Imagine your whole video library kept inside a book sized binder.
I love technology but replacing the medium is expensive and redundant.

Seems like we have a regular leave us almost every other day on here now. This is getting bad.

Well the good thing about a DVD is that the quality won't diminish over time like VHS does. There won't be any quality issue when you convert them into the next technology. It means they won't be paperweights like all my tapes are. After 20 years the tape begins to break down and become brittle and lose it's original picture/sound quality. I'm old enough to have such relics and to even put them in a VCR scares me anymore.

The only saving grace about VHS is the entertainment value it has when the movie is no longer worth watching. Kids are entertained for hours when you pull the tape out of the cassette and have at it. |

Good news fellas. Looks like I can keep everything and even buy my component amp to almost complete the new system. Talk about a turn around. Bad news is that by this time next week, I will be riding around subless I'm selling my Mag, Hifonics, and box to a buddy of mine for $350. Now I just gotta figure out what I'm gonna buy. Anyone have any recommendations for anywhere from 100-150rms x 2 @ 4 ohms? I'm thinking about a JL 300/2 or a Sundown SAX 125.2 |

The economy really is in the crapper. The help wanted section in the paper is about 2 columns wide when it used to be 2 pages. We have college degrees working in Walmarts now. I'm thinking about going back to school to get certified in Autocad. It's an advanced computer design program that MANY fields use. I'm familiar with it but not an avid user. I figure it can't hurt to learn something different and add it to my resume. Especially when so many others are forced to change professions because of the economy.

And paul my brother went to high school for drafting tech high school. he learnt autocad, solidworks, and 3d graphics. Then he went to school for mechanical engineering. He couldnt find a job what so ever. All engineering jobs are getting shipped over to india cause its cheaper. It suks pretty bad actually |

Yes Charlie, most skilled jobs involving PCs are getting sent abroad. Engineering, customer service, data processing, ect...
You take that with the immigrants taking over the labor market here and you have millions of honest Americans out of work. It's the standard of living we've got ourselves accustomed to. Our federal minimum wage is a king's ransom in other countries. Then you have so many business owners struggling to survive and can only do so by using illegals for their labor needs. They may feel bad about it but have little choice.
Our country is getting sold piece by piece and even our own fortune 500 members are surviving on overseas resources. It just doesn't pay to have it made in America anymore. Overseas parts, assembled by illegal immigrants to me doesn't mean made in America anyway. |

I think you have to choose your timezone in your personal settings. Something along those lines. I know the time here tends to drift ahead slowly. Brian will fix it and within a month I'll post something at 3pm local time and it stamps 3:08pm.

yeah, or it might be that the default time for the server is on Eastern, and that may not be able to be changed.
mine has always been right in the hourly aspect, but sometimes its up to 15 minutes off. |

well the economy is bad and its not easy for me. well kinda. i am just saving up for a comptech supercharger. its american made. lol. i am almost there. its going to set me back around $5000. |

mhhh chad they were just a hot or cold team. like I said when they were on they could beat anyone ask duke and UNC lol. But then again losing to harvard and a couple other sub par teams.
