We purchased a Sony Handycam DCR HC62 a month ago. Twice now, when recording a video, horizontal gray bars will appear on the screen that break the image up. Looks like your looking through venetian blinds at the image. The bars appear for a few seconds and then disappear. We have gotten no where with the Sony tech support (what a huge joke!!!!). We were wondering what could be causing this and need to know as our warranty will be out in 60 days.
We purchased a head cleaner and have run that through. We are continuing to use it to see if it occurs again now that we have cleaned the heads. Does anyone know what may be causing this, and do you think that maybe we should just take it back and exchange it. We are using 60 minute Maxell tapes. Any info or feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

This actually happens on playback not while recording, error in post above.
