hey i got a new ipod my bro gave me over 2yrs ago sitting here when d biggest was 20g (he got it free when he got a new jeep laredo) & i never even used that to see how it works ...1 day i will .....
I don't really know Rovin. Last night I was just pricing things up and I realized a whole bunch of different things I could get so it just has me thinking more.
"Music. I dont have the skill and all the tools to build a spl enclosure. I am buying my daily enclosure, so I will have to use a daily enclosure.
I'm buying my enclosure from BJ. Maybe I can get him to make me an interchangeable port."
sounds like a plan....a daily box with a spl swapped port is probably the best way to go that way your not swapping boxes out for comps and daily use but you can still do better at the spl comps when you do go

I remember all those songs but the first two (id know the karate kid one im sure if I knew the title of it)....I think I like Journey's stuff the best on that list....I think I have journey's greatest hits
Sean. What tuning do you think I should go with for daily? DJ told me 36-38hz. I think I wanna do 35hz. I know that the drivers are designed to play well below tuning but I'm a little iffy. I like my lows, but still want that upper end extension.
go with 35 hz thats what we did and it sounded very good but that was in 2.5 cf net each sub....if anything youll probably have trouble hitting low as loud as the high end even with that 35 hz tune
yeah it should....I was thinking the 32 hz tune will help balance things out more anyway between the low and high end earlier today if im right about your vehicle so go for it....the only thing ill add is if your going to do one sub over the other like your fi q's then watch how much power you give the subs until you know how much excursion they are going to give and judge what you think is safe and adjust the power accordingly
I stay out of that sh!t. Some of it, is true and believe in but really I dont care. I must say though. A while back the topic about Kevin paying for advertising came up and he said the same thing he said in the current thread. Said that he emailed admin and admin didnt get back at him. I was curious so I emailed admin about it and Brian told me that Kevin never contacted him about advertising....but meh, whatever.
lol i saw. when I don't want to get involved in anything, I just don't look in the thread. Because you get annoyed when you read them going back and forth.
"sean, go check out that lowlife guy's box thread. after your comment, i decided to reduce the volume of the box. what do you think?"
yeah I just did and im not familiar with what those subs normally call for but you dont want to go too big or it will actually hurt the output....plus I feel if go too big you will loose some control of the sub and that will affect the sq
oh ok Rovin glad it wasnt as much as I thought that wouldve been crazy....I just scrolled down some and saw someone say the higher amount was the conversion so I went with it
oh by the way guys now my fuel pump is all but out....my friend had to smack the gas tank to get it to turn on when I turned it over to start the car....I was glad because he saved me a tow of about 44 dollars to go less than a mile
yanks, mike the owner of sound splinter looks alot like you. if it makes you feel good, well he has a fineeeee asian girl friend. when he came by my work to drop off the rl-s, she was in the car.

Lol. Ironic cause right now I'm in the midst of going out with this fine asian girl lol.
Longo and Paul, you guys gonna come to the meet if we have one?
Hey Paul 3rd year in business cleared $122,000. Trust me it pays and everyone has junk they need ot get rid of, thats the beauty of it. Now add that to the $56,000 I make as a fireman and i didnt have a bad year last year. Everyone says recession but I am up 30% over last year.
yo guys i just got my new next set - like i said b4 its 2 10s RE SE model D4 ...going to be sealed for daily SQ use , my orion 2500d will be on them but i wont be turning it loud anyway & if need arises i can tone it down with the vol knob on a xover.....
spl and daily the same....2.15 cubic feet net in seperate boxes each and tune the spl box to 49 hz....you might want to shorten the port for for a higher tune later because this might give you a few tenths of a db more if you do end up hitting best at 53 hz or you can put something in the box temporarily to take up some airspace later and it will raise the port tune....as far as the daily tune port it to 32 hz like your old box
Talked to Mike @ SS Chad. The warranty is indeed non-transferable. He did say though that if he were to have any problems with manufacturing defects that as long as he ships it to them and explain the situation he could take care of it. I can test it here and vouch that it works before I ship it but that's about all I can do for thieves.
As long as he doesn't abuse it there shouldn't be anything to worry about. If something comes up I still have my invoice # and he can attach that with the sub to have it repaired, in the unlikely event the surround comes off or the cone disintegrates lol.
yeah hunter I sell quite a bit at auction and what doesnt go to auction goes to ebay. My wife just quit her job so she is going to stay at home now and take pic's and clean stuff up for auction and for ebay listings for me cause I don't have the time anymore.
^^^I knew there was more to the junk story. I'm just so tired of the fees Ebay and Paypal impose. Still though if it works it works right?
What I've been doing lately is browsing Craigslist and picking up stuff locally for pennies on the dollar of its' value from ppl who just want to get rid of it. Not too long ago I picked up a $300 3-cd changer stereo for $25 because she said it didn't work. Well my son now has a new stereo that only needed a $.10 piece of wire for an antenna. Works fantastic.
I see it all the time. You just have to be there to catch it b4 everyone else does.
^^Yep. Sometimes there is awesome crap in the free section on craigslist. But I swear people sit on their computer hitting refresh, cause the good stuff is gone in minutes.
We are flying through this thread. Last thread and this one went the fastest in a while. GOOD JOB GUYS!
