I recently came into possession of a Cyber-Shot DSC-P200. The lens is out and there is no power to retract it. I do not get a charge light so don't know if the battery is bad or if there was some damage done to the camera. Any suggestions of what to try? Thanks for any help, Rose |

Do you have a charger or an alternate power source for the camera? |

Yes I do have an alternate power source. My husband checked it for power and it works. The "Geek Squad" guy said he did not think it was the battery so I don't know where to go from here. The lens is protracted about halfway and that is the way it has been since I got the camera. Appreciate any helpful suggestions. |

Seems like a broken motor on the lenses. If that is broken, it is stuck at half way and the cycle cannot complete. You may have to send it in for repairs. |
