well last night i spent time off d internet & watched a dvd
NUMBER 23 - starring Jim Carrey .....it was a mystery\suspense ....was decent\ok ...good to see jim doing something different
have on dvd to watch that comedy ROAD HOGS ...
hey i made that box 4 a guy's 15" L7 4cuft tuned 36hz with about 15sq"\cuft ...real loooooows ...i must say alot of ppl online say any L7 sounds like sh1t but i must disagree ...its not bad at all i would say ....... |

Wow Rovin, I hear alot of bad news about the L7's myself, well, more so the L5. I wouldn't expect the sub to endure for very long with its' rep on build quality tho. Go on admit it, it sounded decent because of your box......lol.
And I would keep your opinion of that kicker inside this thread if I was you. |

well d L7 box i originally built it with 4cuft but had to cut it 3 times to get it to enter d guy's trunk opening ...ended up with 3.6cuft & trimmed d port area a bit too ...still sounded decent
then i tested only 2 of my 4 10s pioneer - blows away that L7 ...lol...will post pix when i carpet it tomorrow
No 23 was different in a good way from Jim's usual comedy stuff ...... |

hey guys, i just dropped in the other rl-s yesterday and its awesome. not only is it louder, but the bass has more mass now. it improved the sound all around. on normal songs, the subs play very flat so it blens perfectly with the speakers. but on bass songs it comes alive. its amazing. |

oh and james i would recomend a sound splinter rl-p. that sub is known to work well in a small sealed. the price is good. also the owner is a cool guy. |

well i am very seriously considering selling off my 4 10s pioneer in box & replacing all with just 1 mean dd9510 powered with my orion 2500d !
darn 4 takes up too much space & i really would love the idea of doing 1 10 to go compete with ppl's 1 12 ....... |

Never thought any of you guys would consider anything smaller than a 12" for a daily driver. Times they must and do change I guess. Chad you're getting me jealous on the SQ you're describing. |

lol paul. sq is the only way my friend. once you go sq you'll never go back. well sometimes you do. but i have my dd. lol.
its just the rl-s has different type of sq than most of the sq subs. it has that low hitting bass that sounds super clean. remember now, these subs were first designed for home applications. and you know alot of movies have sick low bass. well that is what these subs were made for. but it works perfectly in cars as well. it just sounds low and deep. |

see my gimmick is i am ought to show 12" owners in d shows how my 1 10 can run with d big boyz ....what gave me d idead too was yesterday evening i had only 2 10s pioneer getting about 1400-1500wrms (each sub rated 350wrms !) & they were handling it VERY WELL & da sh1t was LOUD ! ...so had me thinking 'what if ...with 1 super 10" !???" .....
3510 or 9510 ???????????
off my orion 2500d at 12v since i have no ho alt so maybe 2000wrms ....... |

i see. so you want to put the bigger sub guys to shame with a smaller sub. lol. you can be an azz sometimes rovin.
that will be sweet though. when everyone is like damn what do you have? and you open the back and there is only a single 10 inch sub back there. ahhhh the look on everyone's faces would be priceless. |

well today i stopped by our local DD dealer to dribble over some subs ...man that fackin 9510 is like i s big hunk of magnet on a lil piece of frame ...in fact its diameter is as wide as d frame & about 2.5-3" thick !
funny thing though is d 12" model is just $16 more so now im thinking wtf best if i paid 16bux more & get d fackin 12 " !!!!!!!! ...thinking this saturday to go get it.......... |

hey u & i have almost d same unit bought around same time & urs always have some issue while only 1 time mine had a cold solder problem around april due to my always heavy bassline ...had a guy solder it back up & no problem with my sh1t ....... |

waszup kidz - got my 9512 g seroes today ,man when u remove that rubber around d magnet only then u its strikes u how really massive that motor is ,i hooked it up freeair to a house stereo for about 1.5hrs to try to loosen it up a bit since its really stiff ,will do that daily for a few days ...keep this on d downlow ...... |

Congrats James on the raffle win there bud! Sorry there is going to be such a bad taste in so many mouths about it. I thought about trying something different to eliminate this bs but it didn't work. This ALWAYS happens with these raffles. Nobody believes the results are legit. Mike says you're the winner so I trust him. I hope you have nothing but good luck with it.
What I'm a tad concerned about tho is how he changed the prize and how it's divided without consulting the supplier of said prizes. After all I was the one supplying all said prizes, shouldn't I have a say? Ahhh whatever, it's for a good cause. Maybe I'm just rambling lol.

Lol naw, I know Mike is legit and I'm glad we were able to help out the school so it's all good. James, I know you saw the surround repair thread so you saw how I replaced it. I'm no build house tech so I can't guarantee my work lol. Seriously tho I never got to test it out. It was one of the reasons I was hesitant in raffling it off. When you get it set up and working you HAVE to post some pics and let me know how it works for ya.

b4 my 4 10s were facing 4ward now that i have more space i can fire thissideways in my trunk (remember i got a wagon so cabin gain = a few DBs more of output)
when i do my dd box later this wk im going to tune a tad lower to about 38hz since i gotta have dem looooows ! ....... |
