The user guide (http://www.jvc.co.uk/files/instruction_manual/lyt1282-001a.pdf) for my JVC GR-DX67 says that I can connect it to my PC using an IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable.
However, I cannot find any socket into which my Firewire cable can connect.
When I open the panel at the front of the camera, I find 3 sockets (see photo below):
Top: USB (this works but not for Pinnacle)
Middle: ????
Bottom: DC In

Can someone identify the standard of the middle socket and tell me if there is anyway (adapter?) I can connect it to my Firewire cable to my PC?

All help greatly appreciated.
(JVC's customer support have been useless)

This online version of the instruction manual may have the answer to my problem.

It suggests that I'm looking in the wrong place.
I haven't noticed a connector on the side of the camera. I need to check when I get home.
