i have Sony DCRHC32 Minidv camcorder. When i transfer the tape to my laptop the frames are dropping. I tried thru USB streaming tool which is provided with camera,also with Windows Movie maker. Will it make any difference if i transfer thru ieee1394?
My Laptop is HP pAvilion new with windows XP home and good configuration.
Please let me know a solution.

Use the firewire instead of USB.

I tried it works fine. Thanks. Bu the video quality is bad. I'm downloading with Windows Movie Maker which is WMV format. It tried thru DV AVI formatin which file size is very big even for 5 min.
Let me know which format will give the best video quality.
If i convert WMV to AVI will it give better quality.
