Please help me. My D200 exposure lock goes wacky when I turn on my SB800. Am I missing i) a setting or ii) my brain!
Here's my problem -- I turn ON my SB800 (let's use TTL this time). I spot meter and exposure lock on a dark wall, recompose on a white wall and get an image that's middle gray. That's just basically wrong right there.
Here's a table of results ... just for grins.... that shows the changed exposure lock behavior of my D200 with my SB800 turned on or off. But the above paragraph basically describes the problem: the exposure lock has no effect when the SB800 is turned on.
Ooops the table doesn't look good in HTML, so I've attached it as a jpg image.
What setting did I inadvertently mess up that could be causing the D200 exposure lock to become disabled when the SB800 is turned ON?
