Hello, I want to buy a camcorder but I need some help to take a decision.... which one will be better (Sony HC-46 or Canon ZR 700)if I want to dowload and edit videos in my PC ??? Thanks a lot |

Canon gets my vote. But both can be downloaded and edited on your PC. |

Thanks Berny...... I got another question.... what means ANALOG TO DIGITAL CONVERSION in a camcorder.... because ZR700 has this feature but HC46 hasn`t..... thanks |

The camera is a digital video recorder. There is however, an analog audio video output for transferring to analog equipment. The important thing is that it has the firewire output for the PC. Now you have to make sure that your PC is capable of accepting firewire. USB will not work , no matter ewhat you think you may have heard. Do not even try it...you will have problems. Look around this forum. There are plenty of people who write in trying to do a USB connection. |
