I have an old camcorder, Hitachi VM-E55A 8 made in 1994. It may be analog, I dunno. But I have recent footage that I recorded onto Hi8 tapes.
I just got a newer camcorder, a Sony Digital8 DCR-TRV260, which takes the same tapes, Hi8.
BUT when I take the tapes that were recorded on the Hitachi and try to play them on my Sony, all I get is a blue screen.
How can I view or edit these tapes using my Sony???
Is there some kind of setting I can change in order to view them???
The hitachi is about to be dust, so I really need to find out how I can see these tapes without it.
