Author Thread: Digital Camcorder keeps dissconnecting when transffering data to PC

Hello, Just got back from a fab holiday with the kids at Disney Paris. Took my new Samsung VP-D352
camcorder got loads of great footage of the family.

I just purchased a Hi-speed IEEE 1394 firewire interface card on my system without any problems.

Connecting the camera to the pc seems simple it recognises the cam and lets me start to download from the cam to the PC for between 2/5 mins then shuts down with a error message saying

"One of the devices being used to capture video has been dissconnected from your computer. The wizard will exit.

Please check devices and try again.

Do you want to save the videw saved so far"

I go through the sequence again shutting down the cam and reconnecting the cable and all is well to start with then the problem persists.

Any help with this would be much appreciated. I'm running on windows xp 256ram and plenty of hard disk space.

Check how many programs are running in the background. You may have too much that the RAM is getting overwhelmed. You may want to expand your ram to at least 1 GB.
