I have not been able to capture video from my camcorder to my computer using windows movie maker. (XP sp2) I'm using a dv cable to my firewire card. In movie maker it detects my camera fine, it allows me to get all the way to the screen with "start capture". When I choose this option my camcorder responds and starts playing but the numbers showing amount captured do not change. When I choose "finish" I get a warning that reads

"The specified video device is not responding, Verify that the device is connected properly and turned on and then try capturing again"

When I close that warning the I get another that says:

"(the file name) could not be imported. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted."

I have tried different cables and firewire cards but they all seem to be working fine. JVC customer service is worthless. ANY IDEAS???????
